It’s not every day you get to compose for the world’s greatest football club, FC Barcelona, but in late 2009 that’s exactly what Ignite, producers of Live8, asked for.

"We want a stadium filling soundtrack for the opening & closing ceremonies, appealing to local & global TV audiences. We need team fanfares, all in national style, all with a common theme & tempo. Oh, and all in three weeks…"

Brains and computers went into overdrive… Just weeks later, Vivid founder George Wilkins, MD & composer for the gig, flew into Dubai with a mobile studio & stack of freshly burned CDs.

Working closely with Olympics show Director Stephen Powell & Choreographer Wanda Venn, George taught 40 local musicians their parts (and on breaks, how to 'high five' & touch fists 'London Style' with the word "Say-eef!")

The shows, a huge success with fans and FIFA executives, were broadcast worldwide to 20 million plus viewers. "Say-eef!"
